The NSTU is the exclusive bargaining agent for teachers employed in Nova Scotia's public schools, as established under the Teachers' Collective Bargaining Act. The NSTU represents teachers in collective bargaining at both the regional and provincial levels, negotiating regional collective agreements with school boards and the Teacher's Provincial Agreement with the Minister of Education on behalf of teachers across the province.
